Only other "cat" people can understand how much our little "fur people" can mean to us. Our sympathies are with you. We will need to have one of our 3 cats put to sleep very soon. You wish that you can keep them much longer. Thank you for sharing about your special Sara.

It's amazing what can make a man cry! I'd be BAWLING my eyes out!! I love both my orange tabbys with all of my heart and am not looking forward to "that" day! The time is too short for them to leave us so soon!!! My condolences...

2/28/03 ~ Cutest Black and White Shihtzu.. you ever saw... From the moment you chose us in the Montana petshop ~to almost losing you ~ to journeying with us from place to place (even by air)~ to showing great courage and still wagging that tail with all your ailments.. You will be missed more than you know.... You made us smile, you wagged your tail, you blew us kisses, you listened intently, you left a trail, you pulled silly poises, you had funny habits, you blended right in, you were near when you heard trouble... you seemed to understand, even though we spoke a different language...... I wish I could see you one more time.... Until we meet again.... RAINBOW BRIDGE Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown Many thanks to the kindness of Dignified~Pet~Services. The kindest people you could meet and help you in your time of need when you lose your bestfriend. You made the transition of something very hard to go through much smoother..

While looking at the memorials tonight I clicked on yours first. We have a dog named Sarah, and I just wondered. I am amazed to see the similarity. Our other beloved dog, Amanda is 17 years old. Tomorrow, May 1. 2001 it is necessary to end her suffering. I found this website and made arrangements. The amazing thing is we have just moved to Oregon, less than one month now. We just moved here from Coupeville on Whidbey Island. Amanda lived all but the last 3 weeks there. We are going to take her back home and take her to her favorite beach for the last time, and let her stay like she always wanted too. The thing that makes this the most difficult is that I am In San Jose, CA for business and can't be there. Fortunately Mandy's other parent and our young Sarah are with her. I will miss her terribly, but reading your memorial to your Sara helped me connect and identify with someone elses grief. Hillsboro is our home now, but Whidbey will always be in our hearts, and the eternal resting place of Amanda May Lynam Daniels. (her full name ) I hope you are getting along well with Daisy Mae and building new memories and cherishing the memories of Sara. Thank you.
