Obituary of Golden Girl Fifi
If it Should Be
If it should be I grow frail and weak
And pain prevents my peaceful sleep.
Then you must do what must be done
When this last battle can't be won.
You will be sad, I understand.
Selfishness might stay your hand.
But on this day, more than rest,
Your love and friendship take the test.
We've had so many happy years
That what's to come can hold no fears.
You'd not want me to suffer. So,
When the time comes, please let me go.
Take me where my needs they'll tend.
Only - - stay with me until the end.
Hold me firm and speak to me.
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know, in time, you, too, will see
It is a kindness that you do for me.
Although my tail it's last has waved,
From pain and suffering I've been saved.
Do not grieve it should be you.
Who must decide this thing to do.
We've been so close, we two, these years...
Don't let your heart hold any tears.
The first time I saw your little face I knew you were the one for me. You have brought so much happiness, joy and love to me. I will never forget you. I am going to miss seeing you every morning and last thing before I go to bed. I know by butting you to sleep was the best decision, I didn't want to see you suffer over my selfishness on keeping you with me longer... that's true love, even though my heart is breaking.
You were not only my cat, but my best friend... you will never be forgotten. I know one day we will meet again. How could something so young be taken away from me..... xoxo
I know Purr Purr was happy to welcome you at the gate, and your love & friendship that you both shared on Earth, will be strong and lasting.
I will always love you forever!!!!!!!!!
Rest in peace my best friend, my companion, my Fifi.
With love, Heartbroken Mama
